It was difficult to work out exactly what is behind the ‘Qatar Diplomatic Crisis’ that seemed to suddenly emerge early in June.

The Qatar diplomatic crisis apparently began on 5th June when several countries – principally Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE – abruptly cut off diplomatic relations. This included trade and travel bans.

Subsequent to this, the Saudi-led group of governments has issued an ultimatum to Qatar in the form of a list of demands that the Gulf State will have to meet.

Why? On the surface of it, Saudi Arabia and the other countries have criticised Qatar for funding terrorist organisations. There has also been criticism of Qatar’s relations with Iran and criticism too of the Al-Jazeera broadcaster that is based in Qatar.

Donald Trump joined in, endorsing the isolation of Qatar and accusing it of being a state sponsor of terrorism. (more…)

Days ago, the Syrian Army, with Russian aid, encircled the crucial city of Aleppo.
Aleppo has for some time been a stronghold for Syrian and non-Syrian militias, rebels and terrorists fighting to topple the Syrian state. If Aleppo is restored to government control, it represents a major turning point in the devastating war that has been raging for five years now.

The death, at the beginning of the year, of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, after a nine-and-a-half year reign and the accession to the throne of his half-brother, Salman bin Abdulaziz, seems to have marked no turning point in Saudi policy either at home or abroad.
With the change of rulers, things in fact seemed to have escalated to a worse state of affairs.

So here’s a question: who remember’s Gaddafi’s claim back in 2011 that the jihadists and NATO-backed ‘rebels’ fighting to overthrow his government were feeding young Libyan men hallucinogenic drugs to fuel their violent activity?
“Bribed, drugged, and supporting the Devil…” was one of the late Gaddafi’s more colourful descriptions of the armed gangs that were terrorising the Libyan people in early 2011.

While the Saudi-led airstrikes against Houthis in Yemen continue, with great humanitarian cost, some mainstream commentators and analysts have belatedly started to admit that the party to have benefited the most from this prolonged military assault on Yemen has been… yes, you might’ve guessed it: Al-Qaeda.

As the Saudi-led coalition continues to drop bombs on Houthi targets in Yemen, involving outside forces and interests once again in a Middle Eastern civil war, there are several points and questions that emerge from behind the narrative of ‘Operation Decisive Storm’.
Yes, this is a proxy war between between the Saudi-aligned powers and Iran and yes, Iran has supported the Houthi rebels in Yemen; but there’s more going on than that.

jordan-anti-isis-protests
If the foreign-backed murderers and bandits of ISIL thought executing Jordanian pilot Muadh al-Kasasbeh in such a horrific, inhuman manner was going to frighten the Jordanians into running away, then the entire sick ploy appears to have backfired on them.
On the other hand, they may have been trying to draw Jordan deeper into the conflict. Unlike the U.A.E, which had withdrawn from air-strikes out of fear, a statement from the Jordanian military, read on state TV, was entitled, “This is the beginning and you will get to know the Jordanians”; an apparent warning to the ISIL mercenaries and jihadists. It also said the strikes will continue “until we eliminate them.” The clip also shows members of the Jordanian military writing messages in Arabic across plane-mounted missiles, one of which reads ‘for you, the enemy of Islam’.

So who noticed this curious footage of French President Francois Hollande addressing the nation after the Paris attacks?
On the 9th January – a day after the end of the Paris sieges – Hollande gave a live speech on national television about the terror attacks. During his speech he appears to have said the magic word; that “the illuminati are behind the Paris attacks”.
