This is probably the most important thing that will be posted on this site this year, so I would ask anyone here to read it all the way through and then draw your own conclusions.

The underlying theme that emerges from this article – which I have been putting together since December – is one of a possible international conspiracy behind the radical shifts in Western politics that may be occurring: that the perceived ‘rise of the Far Right’ across Western societies is not just a simple reactionary movement based on anti-immigration sentiment or refugee hysteria, but something more planned and with more obscured roots.

It is also a case of those simpler, more obvious things too, of course: there are multiple causes for the current wave of ‘populism’ and angry mobs. But it would fit this paradigm best to remember the quote by Dennis Healey about nothing in international politics happening by accident but being made to happen.

What follows in this article then is (1) what I conclude to be a demonstrable conspiracy, (2) some demonstration of what the connections are that support this conclusion, and (3) what the root of that conspiracy is and what its aim might be. (more…)

A week ago, I relayed the report, via the Times of Israel, that President Trump was seeking Stephen Feinberg – CEO of the private security firm (mercenary group), DYNCORP – to conduct an “audit” of American intelligence and security agencies.

I suggested that the Israeli billionaire’s enlistment by Trump for that purpose might essentially amount to a ‘coup’, with all American intelligence and security operations being controlled by a private entity with foreign/Israeli interests. I also suggested this might relate to the sudden resignation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

If this report is true and this move goes ahead, it is worth looking at precisely what DYNCORP is and what its track record consists of. If you’re not familiar with it, prepare to be very troubled. (more…)

A story that has appeared in a few outlets in recent days, principally the Times of Israel, may provide a clue to the real reason why Trump’s short-lived National Security Advisor Michael Flynn has been made to resign – and it has nothing to do with Russia.
It is also something people should really be paying attention to.

According to a report in the Times of Israel, ‘Trump wants Jewish billionaire to vet spy agencies’. President Trump is reportedly looking into assigning an Israeli/US billionaire from the world of finance ‘to lead a broad review of intelligence services’. (more…)

I have decided – due to requests from several people – to stop writing negative things about Donald Trump or the Steve Bannon administration that has just come into the White House.

Even though I have serious misgivings about this new administration and its outlook (along with some more positive views on some specific ideas), I will – for a little while, at least – refrain from upsetting anyone any further or bursting any bubbles by asking questions or being too critical about the Trump White House.

Barring any particularly extraordinary event, this will be a Trump-free zone for a while. (more…)

Following on from considering the symbolic (and the actual) disparity of a millionaire/billionaire cabal with shared business interests governing – supposedly – for the well-being of ordinary and even economically disadvantaged people, we then look naturally to see what kind of people these are, what they believe in and what sort of world-view they bring with them into office.

A lot of people have worried for a long time what a Trump victory would end up actually meaning, aside from a perceived victory for some of the most dubious groups or interests in America – and, via osmosis, potentially Europe and the West. (more…)

Now that the electoral college has has confirmed Trump’s presidency and his inauguration approaches, I wanted to address the shape of the incoming Trump administration, the dangers, the sensibilities.

And why there is legitimate, palpable reason for concern and anxiety that isn’t anything to do with being ‘liberal elite’ or ‘lib-tard’ or whatever dumb labels anti-progressives like to throw around due to lack of vocabulary.

As these concerns are multifarious, I’ve decided to break them up into three different posts, starting with this one, to deal with three different areas: the second deals with the wacky or dangerous ‘basket of deplorables’ (to borrow a phrase) being brought into office around the Donald, and the third is focused on the foreign policy dangers.
